You are able to go into debt, as the Battrick bank is happy to extend a line of credit to your club….but beware, if your bank balance goes below $0 you better have a very good plan to get back in the black – or else your team may be locked!
Overdraft
The bank will allow you to go up to -£350,000 in debt.
If your bank balance is below -£350,000 at the time of your country’s Saturday financial update then the Bank will give you TWO weeks and unlimited logins to get back below the -£350,000 threshold. The bank will only reconsider your debt once a week during the financial updates, so you must ensure that during either of the updates your balance back above -£350,000.
Bankruptcy
If you are still below -£350,000 after both weeks your account will be locked, your team declared bankrupt and you lose your team.
If you are financially stable after either financial update your bankruptcy warning will disappear. So be very, very careful with debt.
If you lose your team you will have to wait until it becomes a bot, after seven weeks, before you can apply for a new team.
Buying players when in debt
Although there is the large overdraft facility available, you can only use the first £150,000 of the overdraft to buy players with. Once below fall below -£200,000, you will not be allowed to buy players.
When determining your balance for this purpose, the bank will be looking not only at the state your balance will be in come the next finance update; they will also take into account any players that you currently have bids on and/or players that you are selling and have received offers for.
