Second BT20 Trophy

03 August

The Gipsies have sealed their 2nd piece of BT20 silverware. Having won the Grade V title in season 13 it’s taken just 3 seasons to establish themselves and win the Grade IV title, the club’s 8th trophy and 4th in 4 years.

The IV.29 BT20 title is quite an achievement given the strength of opposition in the league. Zibi’s men managed to take the title losing just one and winning the rest of their 11 games.

Thanks largely to Castle, Lunt and Kepler with the bat (Lunt with a strike rate of 170+ throughout) and Radford, Zibi and Rosenior with the ball for some impressive displays.

Mention also to Shyamal Sapkal whose performances in the BT20 and OD this season have led to him forcing his way in to the FC 1st XI where he is expected to be a regular next season.

BT20 grade III beckons!
