Young Greg Grewcock (GG Junior) the nephew of former King Whamo great, George Grewcock (GG), has been called up to the England U19 squad.

He waits with baited breathe to see who the fixtures will be against and has said he’d love to come up against Sri Lanka as their squad contains an old pal, Visvadinu Indika.

Despite one being English and the other Sri Lankan, the two lads spent 2 years together in a primary school in Jamaica and grew up playing calypso cricket on the beaches there. This was the time when George Grewcock was out in the Windies with his entire family forming the franchise cricket team for King Whamo, King Havit.

GG Junior attended a local primary school at the time where Indika, son of Sri Lankan immigrants, was also present.
