Jonathon Newsome today departed Whamfield to bring to an end a wonderful 17 season relationship. Signed as a 17 year old for £750k News became the most successful all rounder in Wham history. With a staggering 15,152 runs & 526 wickets in competitive fixtures, its a position he may hold for some time.

News said ‘Its something Ive never really thought about, leaving Whamfield. I’ve been here half my life, its home. The last few years, I’ve been on the fringes but loved being around the lads still. I want to end my career playing as much as possible. India represents a new challenge, but I am very much looking forward to the project ahead.’
