A man of the match performace with a knock of 124* from 132 deliveries was not enough to see the Gipsies through to the season 17 FLSA Cup semi-final today, but it did see the father of the club to his 10,000th run in a Gipsies sweater. Syed Burki now joins Matthew Kepler and Kris Evans as the only players to have achieved the feat.

The majority of Burki’s 10,000 Gipsies runs were of course achieved before he left the club in 2007 but he didn’t take long to make the remaining 686 since re-joining 5 weeks ago.
