Greg Grewcock (aka GGj) has just taken his 1000th battrick wicket at the tender age of just 24! Earmarked as the future of the club the day he came through the youth, this boy has not ceased to amaze season upon season.
The magic 1000th came as he took his 5th wicket of a match in which he finished with figures of 6-34, his 55th five wicket haul!
And the script couldn’t have been written any better as the 1000th scalp was none other than former Gips bowling legend, Denis Radford. Radford had himself come through the Gips academy 24 and a half years ago (on the day GGj was born!) and remains the club’s second leading competitve wicket taker behind Alvin Zibi.
Radford, now playing in his native Jamaica for Gips franchise Wegi, said he had no doubt that this was just the tip of the iceberg of what GGj will achieve.
